Back in the swing of things!

Ok, I haven't been on here in a while...haven't even been on the computer much lately, but I'm trying to get back into stamping and posting my projects! My mom's birthday was last week and I wanted to make her a quick, easy, but great looking card that she would love. I started with my ultimate favorite thing from Stampin Up, a Simply Scrappin Pack. I love just being able to grab one of these packs and make a few projects that will go well together. This pack is retired, called 'In Full Bloom.'

I had gotten her a pair of earrings in her birthstone, garnet, and wanted to give them to her in any other way than in the cardboard-like box they came in, so of course, I made one! I used measurments from a 4x4 nugget box, then lined it with cotton and laid the earrings in. The card is a 4"x4" card. Everything is from the Simply Scrappin Pack, and it's all put together with the Snail Adhesive.

Hopefully I'll be posting a few baby cards soon...I actually got to make a girl baby card!!! It's so nice to make pink things in this house full of boys, but sadly I didn't have any pink ribbon to put on!

That looks great - what a great idea to make the box to match!
